"I have had SF insurance since I was 16 years old. I was also a licensed agent and worked for numerous SF Agents over the years. Dealing with the public is very difficult at times, but I stuck it out for 30+ years. Working that long and dealing with SF, I learned a lot. First, I think they spend too much money on advertising, they don't need to advertise if they are a good company. Or at least advertise that much. Yes, the rates keep going up and up and now with all the fire's here in CA, it's only going to get worse. It's not just the Homeowner insurance it's the auto insurance as well. I'm one to say, auto insurance should be based on your driving record and the kind of car you are insuring, not by zip code and where you live. I've always said that and will continue to do so. I was also told that each State can only use the funds they have to process claims. How strange is that? So, if CA has all these fire's, the state of Montana or Vermont can't help us, this makes no sense. SF is SF regardless of where they are located. Very scary to have heard this..... As far as Ryan's office, his staff has been very good working with us. I've noticed the office doesn't always have answers for me about things. Then I get one answer and the following year it changes, hum.... We used to contact the SF Agent to file a claim, now you have to contact another 800# and file the claim yourself. This seems rather strange to me as well. To finish up with my comments, I believe all companies are alike in many ways. Never been a member of Auto Club, but I've heard over the past few years, people are canceling with them. For most of us, we have paid into these policies for a very long time and SF has had our money to use as they see fit. I will never get out of SF what I have put into it in my lifetime."

"My claim was with a different state farm agent(Ray favico)and my claim with them was being put on the back burner(4 Years) as he was retiring. After which Ryans office was where i got transfered to. When they got the claim they did everything they could to resolve my issues. Which was a tricky claim. Thank You Ryan and staff yer the bestest. Great Agent. I highly recommend thier services."
